SSZ safety bumpers are shock absorbers which generate a signal as a result of force action in the same way as the SSZ-safety rails and the SSZ-safety mats. Safety bumpers can be used where long deformation distances are required and cannot be controlled by the SSZ-safety rails.<\/p>\n

SSZ-safety bumpers are manufactured individually according to the customer specifications.<\/p>\n

Special contours, cuts and angles can be considered in any SSZ safety bumper.<\/p>\n

The body of the safety bumper is coated with polyurethane, temperature-resitant special fabric or an extreme tear-resistant textile cover.<\/p>\n

The mounting possibilities of the safety bumpers are either by means of holes, threaded holes or stud bolts. The safety bumper is a pressure-sensitive safety device use to implement the emergency stop function.<\/p>\n

The identification and specifications of the safety bumper (dimensions, cable outputs, labels on the machine or of the customers) can be obtained from the serial number in the hologram of the safety bumper.<\/p>\n

This hologram is generally located on the mounting side of the safety bumper. SSZ-Safety bumpers are shock absorbers which generate signal as a result of force action in the same way as the SSZ-Safety rails and the SSZ-Safety mats. SSZ-safety bumpers can be used where long deformation distances (over-travel distance) are required and cannot be controlled by the SSZ-switching rails.<\/p>\n

The over-travel distance of the safety bumper is the distance that the machine part to be protected will travel after the SSZ controller triggers the stop signal (braking distance). SSZ safety bumpers are used to protect driverless transport systems (DTS), for example. The length of deformation of the safety bumpers must be greater than the stopping distance of the device to be protected. SSZ safety bumpers can be manufactured in any shape and size according to customer specifications. Any edge radius, cuts, or angles can be manufactured.<\/p>\n

The surface of the safety bumper is covered with polyurethane and can be underlaid with a tear-resistant woven fabric to protect it from severe mechanical damage. The standard color of the safety bumper is black, but other colors are available, and yellow warning stripes can be applied on request. For special applications, the safety bumper can also be sewed into a temperature-resistant fiberglass fabric cover. Company logos, pictograms, and text such as \u201cDo not step\u201d, for example, are painted on using a template.<\/p>\n

The safety bumpers can be mounted using studs, threaded holes, or through holes. For the safety bumpers we can implement custom mounting methods as well.<\/p>\n
