Safety rail mat

SSZ safety rail mat consist of a hollow-chamber rubber profile with an integrated SSZ-sensor element. A signal is generated in the controler by an actuating force acting on the safety rail.

Selection of criterias concerning the rubber profile of the SSZ-safety rail are the material specifications and the desired deformation distances.
The safety rail is a pressure-sensitive safety device use to implement the emergency stop function.
The identification and specifications of the rail (dimensions, cable outputs, labels on the machine or of the customers) can be obtained from the serial number in the hologram. This hologram
is generally located on the side of the rubber profile.

The SSZ safety rail is delivered with a ready-to-mount aluminum profile with a size and length corresponding to that of the safety rail. The cut-out for the connecting cable as well as the mounting
holes, possibly drilled according to the customer’s specifications, are already present. The SSZ safety rails are installed on the intended location of the machine using an aluminum C-profile. The SSZ controller for the safety rail is installed in a control housing, in the control cabinet or in an installation location intended for this purpose.

SSZ-safety mats are safety devices for protection of large-sized danger areas. Safety mats are produced in accordance to the customer specifications using SSZ-sensor elements.

These can be produced in all required sizes and shapes up to a size of 3.000 x 1.500 mm, whereby the overall height is 21 mm.

For danger areas above 3.000 x 1.500 mm several safety mats can be combined. The safety mat is a pressure sensitive safety device for implementing an emergency stop function and, when stepped on, typically independently stops an endangering movement. An automatic restart is blocked as long as someone is standing on the safety mat.

(Presence detection) The identification and specification of the safety mat (dimensions, cable outputs, name of the machine or customer) is via the serial number visible in the hologram. This hologram is usually located on the rear side of the safety mat. They are used anywhere for personnel safety, where crushing and shear points, pull-in points or other endangering movements of force-activated working materials or systems are present. The complete SSZ system consists of the SSZ safety mat that is manufactured to customer wishes, the connection cable (LIYY 4×0.35 mm2) and the SSZ control unit, whose PL determines the required safety level.

The SSZ safety mat stops the endangering movement as soon as a person steps on it. The control command, typically a stop signal, remains on while a person is standing on the mat. If desired, the control unit can also be used with a manual reset.
